The 2010 World Shanghai Expo

The 2010 Shanghai World Expo is the first international Exhibition concerning the theme of the city with the aim of encouraging and promoting a sustainable urban development among different comunities in the framework of a global economics. For 6 months, from the 1st of May to the 31st of October, Shanghai will give hospitality to an international event and it will be the attraction point for governments and people from all over the world. 200 Countries and international organizations will participate and 80 milion of visitors are foreseen.

"Better City, Better Life" is the leitmotiv of the Shanghai World Expo and it reflects the common wish of a better quality of life in the urban areas. The international community examines the future politcal choices, the urban strategies and the sustainable development. The 2010 Shanghai World Expo compares several experiences of development, advanced knowledge about the town planning and different approaches to the human habitat, reflections on future models of cities and harmonius lifestyles.
